Stazione Utopia is a cooperative - social enterprise for culture, entertainment and social issues.

Founded in 2010, it carries out activities on behalf of public and private institutions including theaters, museums, foundations, contemporary art festivals, music research centers, as well as developing national and international projects. Particular attention is paid to the activation of social inclusion and promotion programs and practices addressed to groups culturally and educationally excluded from our heritage, including migrants, people with economic / social distress, people with cognitive impairment and / or disability.

Museum education and mediation services

In the museum mediation field, from 2016 Stazione Utopia has been carrying out the planning, coordination and organizational secretariat for the Educational Department of ​​the monumental complex of Santa Maria del Fiore of Florence, on behalf of Opera di Santa Maria del Fiore. Stazione Utopa provides for educational activities addressed to schools, in-depth seminars for teachers and educators, professional orientation workshops designed to encourage creative and transversal learning, through arts and crafts’ experience and knowledge, and the discovery of the artwork’s original language.

 

In September 2019, on behalf of the Polo Museale della Toscana and Unicoop Firenze, Stazione Utopia managed the project Le meraviglie dei Medici, alla scoperta delle Ville Medicee a Cinquecento anni dalla nascita di Caterina e Cosimo, a cycle of visits and workshops for families at the Villa Medicea La Petraia, Villa Medicea di Cerreto Guidi, Giardino della Villa Medicea di Castello.

 

Services for events and shows

Since 2010, Stazione Utopia offers assistance and technical direction services, rental of stage equipment, porterage services, event planning and exhibitions and shows’ set-up, art installations, production of scenographies and props, taking care of the design, safety and implementation of the projects. In July 2019, Stazione Utopia curated and managed the Pomario Agorà project, a cycle of meetings, shows, concerts and yoga lessons on behalf of the Municipality of Scandicci, in the Garden of the Castello dell’Acciaiolo.

 

Special Projects

Stazione Utopia also provides fot the design of international project, both at local and European level, with specific skills related to the Creative Europe, Erasmus + calls.

 

In 2018, Stazione Utopia was funded by the Erasmus + Adult Education Sector Activity KA1 program for the EMME - Education, museums and migrants' experiences project, aimed at training and updating activities for museum operators to welcome and promote the contribution of immigrants and foreign communities.

 

From September 2018, Stazione Utopia manages and coordinates the project AMIR - accoglienza, musei, inclusione, relazione, aimed at promoting social and intercultural paths led by museum mediators trained within the project and coming from non-European countries.
